This issue has been resolved in version 2.9.5 and later of the ScreenMeet application. The fixes described below are unnecessary if your organization has updated to this version.
We are working to resolve a few known issues with the latest ScreenMeet version 2.9.4 on the ServiceNow Xanadu release (August 2024).
When creating an incident, the ScreenMeet widget may display the error “Please save the new Incident record before using ScreenMeet“ even when the incident has been saved.
There are two possible workarounds for this issue:
Workaround #1: Press the refresh/reload button in your browser to clear the error.
Workaround #2: Allow creation of the ScreenMeet session before the incident has been saved. As an administrator, update the system property for your ServiceNow instance
