Article summary

The Agent can use the Privacy Curtain feature to hide all the content from being displayed on the end user’s remote device screen.

NOTE: An Administrator must enable the Privacy Curtain feature.

The Privacy Curtain will become enabled when Remote Control is ON.

To enable this feature, the Agent must click on the ‘Privacy Curtain’ button.

This sends a message to the end user’s device and changes the state of the button.

Once the client clicks ‘Allow’, the Privacy Curtain feature is Active.

The Agent can assume complete control of the user’s device. However, all the information will be hidden by the Privacy Curtain on the primary screen of the client’s device and on all connected displays.

To turn off the Privacy Curtain feature, the Agent clicks on the ‘Privacy Curtain’ button again, or the client uses the shortcut key displayed on the screen.

The Privacy Curtain feature is available on both consumer and Server editions of Windows version 2004 (build 19041) and later.
