Introduction
If you encounter issues with screen sharing or enabling audio/video in ScreenMeet Live due to operating system or browser permissions, follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
Windows
Chrome:
- Click the three-dot menu icon and go to Settings > Privacy and Security.
- Ensure that Camera and Microphone permissions are enabled.
- To enable permissions for the Screenmeet site:
- Visit the Screenmeet site.
- Click on the lock icon in the address bar.
- Adjust the camera and microphone permissions to allow.
- Restart the browser and try screen sharing again.
Firefox:
- Click the three-line menu icon and go to Options > Privacy & Security.
- Enable Camera and Microphone permissions.
- To enable permissions for the Screenmeet site:
- Visit the Screenmeet site.
- Click on the information (i) icon in the address bar.
- Adjust the camera and microphone permissions to allow.
- Restart the browser and attempt screen sharing again.
Edge:
- Click the three-dot menu icon and go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services.
- Ensure that Camera and Microphone permissions are enabled.
- To enable permissions for the Screenmeet site:
- Visit the Screenmeet site.
- Click on the lock icon in the address bar.
- Adjust the camera and microphone permissions to allow.
- Restart the browser and try screen sharing again.
Checking Operating System Permissions
- Press the Windows key + I to open Settings.
- Select Privacy > Screen.
