# Privacy Curtain

### Privacy Curtain

The Agent can use the Privacy Curtain feature to obscure the end user’s screen during a support session. When active, all content on the primary screen and connected displays is hidden from anyone physically looking at the device, while the Agent maintains full visibility and control.

#### Prerequisites & System Requirements

- **Administrator Access:** An Administrator must enable the Privacy Curtain feature in the ScreenMeet console.
- **Remote Control:** The Privacy Curtain can only be activated when a Remote Control session is active.
- **Operating System:** The end user's device must be running **Windows (Consumer or Server editions) Version 2004 (Build 19041) or later**

**Important Note on OS Compatibility** Devices running older Windows feature updates or Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC/LTSB) builds based on versions prior to 2004 do not support the display capabilities required for this feature.

On these devices, the Privacy Curtain will not be shown as an option for the agent to enable.

### How to Enable Privacy Curtain

1. Start a **Remote Control** session.
2. Click the **Privacy Curtain** button in the agent toolbar.

3. This sends a request to the end user's device. The user will see a prompt to allow the action.

4. Once the user clicks **Allow**, the feature becomes active.

### Deactivating Privacy Curtain

To restore the local display visibility:

- **Agent:** Click the **Privacy Curtain** button again.
- **End User:** Press the shortcut key combination displayed on their screen (e.g., *Ctrl+Alt+Del*).
