# Getting a Mobile API Key

The Mobile API key is required when initializing the SDK. The key is unique to your organization and can be generated by your organization's administrator using the ScreenMeet Console.

1. Login to the [ScreenMeet Console](https://console.screenmeet.com).
2. Navigate to API Keys under the Organization section.
3. Click the blue **Create API Key** button.
4. Provide a user-friendly description for the key Name.  This allows you to easily identify the key in the list.

6. Click the green **Create New Api Key** button.
7. You are done!  Note the generated API key.  This will be used to initialize the SDK on both iOS and Android.
