Hosting a CoBrowse Sesssion 

The following outline of information serves as an introduction to the features available to an agent within the CoBrowse application.


  • Request Laser Pointer - Determines if the agent can display a red dot/laser where their cursor is pointing to guide the end users attention.
  • Request Highlighter - Determines if the agent can highlight/draw on the screen. These drawings are visible to the end user on the web page. 
  • Request Remote Control - Determines if an agent can remotely control the page that the end user is on. Note:this does not extend control outside of the web page(s) in which the CoBrowse application is installed into.
  • Screenshot - Determines if the agent can screenshot the user's screen.
  • Unlock Scrolling - Determines if the agent can scroll on the page independently. The user will not see any scrolling that the agent does when this is enabled.
  • Video Chat - If your account also has access to the Live platform, you can escalate the CoBrowse session to a video/audio chat.
  • System Info - Displays information about the end users device. 
  • View or Invite Agents - Allows the agent to invite more agents to join the session or view the current agent attendees. 
  • File Transfer - Allows file transferring between the agent and end user. 
  • Leave Session - Allows the agent to leave/end the session.
  • Timer - Displays the duration of the current session. 
  • Full Screen - Allows the agent to view the CoBrowse viewer within a full-screen view
    • Currently, it is only visible if the embedded iFrame version of CoBrowse within Salesforce is used. 
  • Advanced Settings - Allows the agent to change the language that is displayed.
