CoBrowse Quick Links
Overview
Quick Links allow agents to start a CoBrowse session by sharing a pre-configured URL with the customer instead of reading out a numeric PIN. When a customer opens the link, the session PIN is passed automatically via the URL and the CoBrowse session begins. Quick Links are displayed below the session PIN in the agent console and can be copied to the clipboard with a single click.
How Quick Links Work
When an agent starts a CoBrowse session, ScreenMeet generates a Quick Link for each URL in the configured list. The session PIN is appended to the URL as a hash parameter, for example:
https://www.example.com/support#cobrowse_pin=432017The agent copies the link and sends it to the customer via chat or email. When the customer opens the URL, the CoBrowse script on that page reads the PIN from the hash and automatically initiates the session join flow without requiring the customer to enter the PIN manually.
Managing Quick Link URLs
Quick Link URLs are configured per organization in the ScreenMeet admin console. Only organization administrators can add or remove URLs from the list.
- Log in to the ScreenMeet console and navigate to Organization > Settings and Policies > CoBrowse Deployments.
- Locate the Quick Links section.
- To add a URL, enter the full page address in the input field and click Add. The URL must point to a page with the CoBrowse script installed.
- To remove a URL, click the delete icon next to the entry.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Using Quick Links During a Session
- Start a CoBrowse session from the console or your CRM integration.
- On the session screen, locate the Quick Links displayed below the session PIN.
- Click the copy icon next to the desired URL to copy it to your clipboard.
- Paste the link into your chat, email, or ticketing tool and send it to the customer.
- Once the customer opens the link and the CoBrowse script loads, they will be joined to the session automatically.
