The settings below are referenced in the ScreenMeet console. 

To view these settings, login to console.screenmeet.com as an administrator of the organization and navigate to Organization -> Settings and Policies -> Live Settings

Host must approve guests

This setting determines whether guests need to be approved by the host prior to joining.

Options: Host’s Choice, Always Required, Disabled

Enable for stricter security.

Session Recording

This setting determines whether the session will be recorded.

Options: Host’s Choice, Always Required, Disabled

Host’s Choice

Enable for auditing or training; observe any relevant privacy regulations.

Recording Type

What will be recorded if it is enabled

Audio and Video

Enable for auditing or training; observe any relevant privacy regulations.

Recording Opt-in required

When enabled, this setting requires all participants to opt-in if recording is started during the session.

Disabled

Enable to require opt-in consent to recording the session.

Recording Opt-out

When enabled, allows the end, user/meeting participant, to opt out of recording when joining the session. If recording was enabled when the user opted out, the recording will be stopped.

Disabled

Enable to allow end user opt out.

Enable audio for the session

Determines whether audio communication is available for the session.

Options: Host’s Choice, Always Required, Disabled

Always Required

Enable to communicate during the session.

Host Screenshare

Hosts can share screen

Enabled

Enable if hosts (agents) need to share their screen during a session.

Host Video

Hosts can use video camera sharing

Enable if hosts (agents) need to share their video.

Guest Video

Guests can use video camera sharing

Options: Host’s Choice, Always Required, Disabled

Always Required

Enable if you need to see the guest who entered the session.

Guest Screenshare

Guests can share screen

Enabled

Enable if guests need to share their screen during a session. Helps with troubleshooting.

Users can request screenshare

A user can request that another user shares their screen

Enabled

Allows guests to request to share their screen.

Chat

This allows for agents and guests to chat during session

Enabled

Recommended for straightforward communication.

File Transfer

Agents and guests can transfer files

Disabled

Enable if file sharing is routinely required.

Background Replacement

Determines who can replace their background

Options: Host Only, Both Host and Guest, Disabled

Disabled

Enable to allow background replacement/blurring.

Take a Snapshot

Allows for a screenshot to be taken. Someone must be sharing their screen for this option to be available.

Disabled

Enable if screenshots will assist with troubleshooting or needed to attach to a CRM case.

Laser Pointer

When enabled, allows for laser pointer to be used.

Only available for Mobile SDK.

Disabled

Enable to assist during a call.

Default Camera Resolution

Sets the camera resolution by default on all sessions

960×720

Allows you to set the default that is best for your devices.

Background Replaced by Default

The background will be replaced by the default background upon entering a session.

Disabled

Enable to use the default image as the background.

Hosts can change their stream resolution

Hosts are allowed to change their preferred camera resolution

Custom Video Consent

Customized notification pop-up when entering session with video

Agent Obfuscation

Will obfuscate the last name based on the desired configuration type.

Options: Show Full Name, First Name and Last Initial, First Name Only, Shows "Agent" Only

First Name and Last Initial

Beneficial for agent privacy and reduced personal exposure.

Use Proxy

Determines if the session will use the real-time proxy endpoint

Enable to use the real-time proxy endpoint for the session.

Default Screen Sharing Source

Defaults the media-picker tab for screen sharing.

Options: Whole Screen, An Application Window, Browser Tab

Whole Screen

Allows for quicker screen sharing when the default it set to the most common selection.

Default Mobile Camera

Sets the default when the mobile camera is used

Front

Allows for quicker screen sharing when the default it set to the most common selection.

Auto Prompt Guests for Screenshare

If enabled, this will auto prompt guests to share their screen when joining the session

Disabled

Enable to automatically prompt guests to share their screen.

Host Bypass Lobby

Allows hosts to bypass the lobby

Disabled

Enable to allow hosts to bypass the lobby.

Guest Bypass Lobby

Allows guests to bypass the lobby

Disabled

Only enable after considering your agent workflow.

PIN Length

Determines the length of session PINs

6 digits

Keep the default setting.

Idle time out

This setting is not configurable. For information purposes, the idle timeout within Live is 30 minutes.

If there is no session activity, users will be prompted with a popup shortly before the idle time out expiration if they would like the session to continue.
