The settings below are referenced in the ScreenMeet console. 

To view these settings, login to console.screenmeet.com as an administrator of the organization and navigate to Organization -> Settings and Policies -> Live Settings

Host must approve guests : This setting determines whether guests need to be approved by the host prior to joining. Options include :

  • Host's Choice
  • Always Required
  • Disabled

Session Recording : This setting determines whether the session will be recorded. Options include :

  • Host's Choice
  • Always Required
  • Disabled

Recording Type : 

  • Audio and Video 
  • Audio Only

Recording Opt-in required : When enabled, this setting requires all participants to opt-in if recording is started during the session.

Recording Opt-out : When enabled, allows the end, user/meeting participant, to opt out of recording when joining the session.If recording was enabled when the user opted out, the recording will be stopped.

Enable audio for the session : Determines whether audio communication is available for the session. Options include :

  • Host's Choice
  • Always Required
  • Disabled

Host Screenshare : Hosts can share screen

Host Video : Hosts can use video camera sharing

Guest Video : Guests can use video camera sharing

Guest Screenshare : Guests can share screen

Chat : This allows for agents and guests to chat during session

Background Blur : Participants can blur background

Screen Annotation : When enabled, allows for screen annotation to be used

Laser Pointer : When enabled, allows for laser pointer to be used in the mobile SDK.

Default Camera Resolution : Resolution Options include :

  • 160 x 120
  • 240 x 180
  • 320 x 240
  • 480 x 360
  • 640 x 480
  • 960 x 720
  • 1280 x 720

Hosts can change their stream resolution : Hosts are allowed to change their preferred cam resolution

Guests can change their stream resolution : Guests are allowed to change their preferred cam resolution

Participants can zoom in for the video : When enabled, participants can zoom in for the video

Start with audio on : When enabled, audio will be on when joining the session

Start with video on :When enabled, video will be on when joining the session

Hosts can invite : Whether host has invite/share button available

Guests can invite :Whether guests have invite/share button available

Host can create child sessions : When enabled, Host can create child sessions

Custom Video Consent : Customized notification pop-up when entering session with video

  • Default Notification : You are joining a video call session. The Agent will be able to see anything you share from your phone or computer camera.

Prefer peer-to-peer mode instead of server bridge : Peer-to-peer mode can reduce latency for 1:1 meetings, but is less efficient when connecting more participants. Does not apply to meetings when recording is enabled.

Agent Obfuscation : Will obfuscate the last name based on the desired configuration type. Options include :

  • Show Full Name
  • First Name and Last Initial
  • First Name Only
  • Shows "Agent" Only

Idle time out: 

  • This setting is not configurable, though for information purposes, the idle timeout within Live is 30 minutes. 
  • If there is no session activity, users will be prompted with a popup shortly before the idle time out expiration if they would like the session to continue.
