Article summary

Agent Disconnect

An agent may leave the Session any time by closing the browser tab. This will not result in the Session being closed unless explicitly closed with the “End Session” button.

If no agents view the Session for 20 minutes, the Session will timeout and close automatically.

End-user Disconnect

If the end user leaves the Session unintentionally (for example by losing internet connectivity or by experiencing Windows rebooting or crashing, among other possible reasons), the Session will remain active for ten minutes. This is to allow the user time to reconnect or to rejoin the Session. After ten minutes of no activity, the Session will time out and close automatically.

The Agent can extend the timeout period in 5, 10, or 20-minute increments by clicking the desired button in the bottom right of the toolbar.
